In July 2017 I was in Tropea, a small town on the coast of Calabria, southern Italy. One day I entered to the Sanctuary of Santa María Island, a monastery with a back garden with many cactus of different sizes, on which people wrote names, numbers, initials, dates and illegible symbols over time: a walk of tattooed sculptures.
“Tropea” is the first issue of Salmon Mix Mag. It presents 23 photographs of the cactus that I took in the garden. Then I distributed the images among 23 people. Each one received a different picture to write a story, a poem, a chronicle, a paragraph, a sentence, whatever, without any limits. Finally, I asked to sign the text with their name, initials or pseudonym.
